More About Meghan Walker

Meghan Walker is an award-winning lawyer who has dedicated her career to advocating for seriously injured individuals and their families. She joined Martin & Hillyer Associates in 2023, following her role as a partner at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto.

With extensive experience in personal injury law, Meghan has represented hundreds of clients in cases involving motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, product liability, nursing home negligence and abuse, occupiers’ liability, and dog attacks. She has also served as co-counsel in major national class actions and large mass torts involving allegedly harmful or defective medical devices.

Meghan plays an active role in the legal community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Halton County Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). She is also the chair of OTLA’s Helmets on Kids Program; a province-wide initiative that distributes free helmets to school children across Ontario.

In addition, Meghan is a member of the American Association for Justice and has contributed to the Association’s Federal Rules Committee on Cross-Border Discovery.

A highly sought-after speaker, Meghan has presented on a wide range of legal topics at conferences hosted by OTLA, the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Halton County Law Association. She is also committed to legal education and community service, volunteering with the Ontario Justice Education Network and the United Way of Halton and Hamilton, and teaching annually in Osgoode Hall’s Elder Law Program as a faculty member. She has also previously volunteered with the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, and she mentors young lawyers and law students in her role as articling principal.

Meghan’s dedication and expertise have earned her consistent recognition by her peers, including selection to Best Lawyers in Personal Injury Litigation, and being recognized byLexpert for her advanced advocacy skills.

Outside of her professional life, Meghan enjoys staying active, travelling, and spending quality time with her two sons, Ben and Alex.
